The devil is in the details, as the saying goes. The document below is one such detail which calls into question a fabricated narrative and makes it appear unsustainable. Lt. Col. Pandurević, commander of the Zvornik Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army dispatched a Special Combat Report to his superior command protesting the concentration of about 3,000 Muslim POW’s from Srebrenica in facilities throughout his brigade’s zone of responsibility because his unit lacked manpower and resources to care for them. Pandurević wrote that “If no one takes on this responsibility I will be forced to let them go.”
This Special Combat Report is incompatible with the claim that during the period when it is dated Serbian forces acted with the intent to physically destroy all Muslims from Srebrenica. The report is presented below in original Serbian and in the official English translation of the Hague Tribunal. Both versions are marked with ICTY file numbers.
